autumn care

Guten Tag Alles,

It is Saturday today and I am finally in my first host families house. Before I get to that let me tell you about my week. Basically nothing much has happened. I brought Michelle to Winterthur on Wednesday, we hung out and looked at all the shops. I went to Zurich HB with Perrin on Thursday and she bought a new phone, then we went to Winterthur and we went looking in all the shops. We were trying to find some Art Supplies but it didnrsquo;t work very well. Maybe I should ask my Host Mum because she is an Art teacher at the school. She would probably know where to get some good art supplies. Perrin needs some pastels.

Then yesterday [Freitag [Friday]] the whole language class went to Luzern. That is one of the most beautiful cities I have ever seen, seriously. I took about 200 photos. I should upload them all sometime but I am not too sure when. All 15 of us went, we were to arrive at Zurich HB at just before 9 but I arrived at about 8:20, so I bought some lunch and went wandering around waiting for someone to arrive. Michelle was the next to arrive at about 8:35 so we hung out until Maddy arrived and then had some Hot Chocolate and Coffee with Herr Strasse [I donrsquo;t know if that is the right spelling] and then we went back outside and basically everyone was there. We got on a Hogwarts like train, you know with the one long hallway down the side of the train and little rooms with seats in them on the other side. I should have taken a photo but I didnrsquo;t, but it was cool.

On a side note: [Considering we were talking about Harry Potter and all] I am going to a place in Switzerland called Grindelwald. How totally awesome is that? Like seriously Anyway, I am going on about the 16/17 of February for a Snow Weekend with some Rotex people. Only the exchange students in Switzerland are going, the ones that arrived in January as well as the ones who arrived in about July last year.

Back to Luzern, we got there a bit late because we missed a connecting train but we only have to wait around for 20 minutes until another one came sothat was not too bad. Luzern is so pretty. They have this wonderful wooden bridge that I took heaps of photos of as well as beautiful white swans in the river. I took so many photos of the swans, as well as heaps of the rest of the students.

After the bridge we went to the Panorama which was quite awesome. It looked so real, I couldnrsquo;t believe that it was painted. We werenrsquo;t allowed to take pictures but I do have a few brochures that I got on the way out, they are in German and French but they have pictures so... ;3.

Next we went and saw a beautiful stone lion carved into the side of a mountain. It looked amazing. I took a few pictures of that too. It was really big too, but across a little lake thing so we couldnrsquo;t get very close. I ate my lunch there and on the way to the Church [which was next]. My lunch was actually quite good, I really liked the sandwich. I should have bought another one but it was like $6.20. Not a big deal, it was quite a large sandwich; I did give the last bite to Jose though because he was hungry and didnrsquo;t bring anything to eat.

The Church was really pretty as far as Churches go and I took heaps of photos. It had a lot of wood in it so I liked it. There were a few free brochures so I took some of them as well [some you had to pay for so, like $7 so I didnrsquo;t think that that was worth it]. We then got a bus to the Transport Museum, which was fun. They had scooters you could use to ride around on and stuff. They had some pretty cool stuff there. The chips were nice [Perrin bought a bowl of them] and I bought some Ketchup [hahaha tomato sauce] because, Perrin wouldnrsquo;t buy any and you canrsquo;t have chips without Tomato Sauce.

Then we tried to go to the KKL [a congress concert hall I think] but we couldnrsquo;t because it was closed for renovations or something. So then we went home. Well, we went to Zurich HB [Main station] so we could all catch our individual trains back to our towns and stuff. I went and bought a new phone. For those who are interested my new phone number is: +41 78 7621 538. So yeah mum and dad, ignore the number I texted you on before this is my Swiss number for the rest of the year [*crosses fingers*]. So yeah I donrsquo;t have anyone at homersquo;s mobile numbers so if anyone wants to text me, text me but do put your name in the text so I know who the text was from ;3. I am horrible with remembering numbers. I canrsquo;t even remember this one yet.

So anyway, I am with my first host family. I came here last night and am staying in a room that will be mine for the next few months. I have met all of the boys now [sort of], I have spoken with Caspar [on the Snow Weekend, a few weekends back] and spoke with Fabian last night and this morning, and waved and said Hello to Simon this morning as he walked past my room. So yeah, lol. It is a nice room, I really like it. I have unpacked and stuff so everything is fine. Lauren 1 left me quite a few things that she thought I might need. It was very kind of her. They have wireless here but I am not connected yet because I donrsquo;t have the security code, Fabian has to give that to me. I have to remember to ask so I can upload this blog. Obviously once you see this, I have got the password so it is all good. My room is on the second floor and I have a little balcony that I can go out on if need be.

Oh and Fabian is going to teach me how to ride a bike today. Yay I hope I donrsquo;t stack it and die. That would be a horrible way to go. Not to mention my lifersquo;s trial of trying not to ride a bike would be vindicated. None the less, I think I am going to get the code now so that I can upload this.

Nothing else exciting is set to happen for a few days at least [I think] so yeah, donrsquo;t worry ;3.

Xoxoxo

Love you all [some more than others ;3 [Kidding]]
